Home schooling:first time a round

Home school was taught by my step father. Who at the time was abusive. When I was a little kid up until I was around nine I would throw temper tantrums when I would get confused. My leased favorite subject was math. It always has been the hardest for me. When my step dad taught it I would get so frustrated that it could take three hours for me to complete one set of problems. When I would get one wrong I wouldn't always understand what was wrong about it. Then my step dad would get mad and hit me. It made me afraid to learn things. For science my step dad would do things like collect fruit flies for a study on genes. Take us up to the little farm or hikes in the woods. I would read everyday as well usually books he chose for me to read. Two days out of the week I went to tutoring for reading and math. It was the only socialization I had with kids my own age. To and from tutoring my sisters and I had a little contraption we used to ride called The Burley Train. It was a regular bicycle then attached to that was a little one wheeled bike called a shadow and attached to that was a burley where my two little sisters would sit in. People would stare at us when we rode it. Some would comment both good and not so good things But those home school days would not last long.
